Australian Financial Service Licencees
If you hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) you are required to have your financial statements audited and in addition an audit of a number of compliance requirements. If you are an individual licencee your financial and compliance audit must be completed and lodged with ASIC on or before 31 August in each year. If you are a corporate licencee then you have until 31 October in each year to have your audit completed and lodged with ASIC. Late lodgement fees apply if these dates are not met.
Managed Investment Schemes
Every responsible entity of a registered scheme must appoint an auditor to the scheme within one month after the day on which a scheme is registered with ASIC.
